Guided Oulanka River Canoeing

The canoeing route on the Oulankajoki River starting from Mataraniemi has been praised as one of the most enchanting in Europe. Some even describe it as the “Canada of Europe.” Come and experience the stunning landscapes of Oulanka National Park yourself. Our guided canoeing trip follows an 8-kilometre route from Mataraniemi to Nurmisaarenniemi.

Along the route, we can stop for a snack break and, weather and time permitting, even take a refreshing dip in the clear waters of the Oulankajoki River.

The trip requires a minimum of 4 participants. If the departure is cancelled due to insufficient participants, we will either refund the full amount or reschedule your booking free of charge.

Included in the price:

·        Transfers from Basecamp Oulanka to the starting point (approx. 30 min) and from the end point back to Basecamp Oulanka (approx. 1 hour)

·        Canoeing in two-person canoes

·        Paddle, life vest, dry bag
