Sauna experiences by the lake and the Karhunkierros Trail
This summer there are even more reasons to enjoy a relaxing sauna at
Basecamp Oulanka. Unwind in the warmth after an exciting rafting trip
or a rewarding day on the trail.

Lakeside sauna included in all rafting trips
Every rafting trip at Basecamp Oulanka now includes access to our
lakeside sauna after the activity. Warm up in the sauna and finish
your adventure with a refreshing swim in Lake Juumajärvi.

Hiking sauna for Karhunkierros hikers
Karhunkierros hikers are welcome to visit our sauna without staying
overnight. Step directly off the trail into the warmth of a Finnish
sauna and continue your journey refreshed.

Towel rental €5

Please bring your swimwear and towel.
Towels are also available for rent at reception.

Parking at Basecamp Oulanka is now even easier
Great news! Parking at Basecamp Oulanka can now also be paid quickly and
easily using the EasyPark and
ParkMan mobile apps.
These new payment methods make parking faster and more convenient directly
from your smartphone.
Parking remains free for Basecamp Oulanka customers.
If you are staying with us or using our restaurant or activity services,
simply register your vehicle at reception.
Welcome to enjoy nature – we will make sure parking is as easy as possible.
Juuma’s summer event
JuumaFest – 1 August 2026
🎵 Juuma’s most anticipated summer event returns with live music,
rafting, festival food and a unique atmosphere on the shores of
Lakes Juumajärvi and Ajakkajärvi.
During the day, visitors travel between the event venues by rafting boats
and shuttle transport through the beautiful river scenery. Tickets are
also available with return transportation from Ruka.
