Basecamp Summer Season Opens on 1 June
🌿 The summer season begins with the opening of Cafe Basecamp. From 1 June, the café is open daily from 10:00 to 16:00. At the same time, our summer weekly activity programme gets underway.

By the Campfire – 1 July 2026
🎶 The opening concert of the Kuusamo Chamber Music Festival invites you to pause in the heart of nature and enjoy an evening of music and storytelling at Basecamp Oulanka.
Bass-baritone Lauri Turpeinen performs together with a string quartet on the shores of Lake Ala-Juumajärvi. Timeless stories and nostalgic melodies create a unique concert experience surrounded by the beauty of Oulanka.
The concert takes place on Wednesday, 1 July at 18:00. Admission is free of charge. Seating capacity is limited, so please arrive early.

JuumaFest 1 August 2026
🎵 Juuma’s most anticipated summer event returns. Enjoy live music, rafting-boat transfers, festival food and a unique atmosphere on the shores of Lakes Juumajärvi and Ajakkajärvi.
Throughout the day, festival-goers travel from venue to venue in true Juuma style – by rafting boats and organized transfers through beautiful river landscapes. Tickets are also available with return transportation from Ruka.
