In Basecamp, the sauna is heated every day. Our hotel guests can book their own slot, for example right at the start of the morning or at the end of the day. The hikers' sauna is open to all visitors, inviting you to relax, for example, after a hike on the Little Bear's Trail or a rafting trip.

Hikers' sauna

The hikers' sauna is located in the main building's electric sauna. During or after your bathing session you can also relax in our outdoor jacuzzi.

House sauna and jacuzzi

Our sauna in the main building has an electric heater. The sauna room can accommodate 8-10 people at a time. There is a shower room, dressing room and toilet in connection with the sauna. In the bubble bath on the sauna terrace, you can relax between and after the baths. You can take refreshments with you from our upstairs bar.

Lakeside sauna

Our traditional, wood-heated beach sauna is guaranteed to offer the genuine Finnish sauna atmosphere. The sauna building is located on the shores of Juumajärvi, and includes a steam room, a washroom (water from the lake with a pump, warm water from the cauldron), a dressing room and a cozy fireplace lounge. About 15 people can fit in the sauna room at one time. The duckboards lead you directly to our sandy beach, from where you can take a dip in the clean waters of Juumajärvi lake.

We heat the beach sauna several days a week in the summer. From time to time, it also works as a hikers' sauna open to everyone.

Groups and private events

Are you looking for a place to relax with your group? Are you planning a party or would you just like to enjoy sauna alone in silence? Basecamp's saunas can also be rented for private use. We can also provide with refreshments and snacks for the sauna or a full dinner service in our restaurant. Ask us for more details.
