This scenic rafting route takes you deep into the heart of Oulanka National Park, combining gentle rapids, quiet river sections and breathtaking canyon views. The entire journey is completed without fossil energy, allowing you to fully connect with the surrounding nature.
Along the way, you will experience the diversity of Oulanka’s landscapes – from dramatic canyon walls to tranquil forest and river scenery.

What happens during the trip?
The day begins with a short hike along the famous Little Bear Trail to the base of the Jyrävä waterfall. Before entering the river, we practise safety and paddling techniques in calm waters.
The journey starts in the impressive Kitka Canyon, followed by a series of gentle Class I–II rapids. The river carries us through taiga forest landscapes, offering a unique combination of scenery and silence.
Along the way, you can safely store personal items such as cameras in a dry bag. The trip ends in the eastern border zone, followed by a return transfer to Basecamp.

High-quality equipment (helmet, life vest, paddling suit, rubber boots), services of an authorized guide, light snacks, return transfer, liability insurance, nature conservation fee, and VAT.

Private departures
Private departures outside scheduled times are available at €500 per raft. Each raft accommodates up to 6 paddlers in addition to the guide.
