This guided evening tour takes you from Basecamp Oulanka deep into the Kuusamo wilderness, near the eastern border, to one of the best bear watching locations in Finland.
From a comfortable and safe viewing hide, you observe bears in their natural environment. Several individuals regularly visit the area, and you may also spot wolverines, eagles and other wildlife.

What happens during the tour?
We depart from Basecamp Oulanka and travel by car to the bear watching site. After arrival, you will receive a safety briefing before entering the viewing hide.
From the hide, you observe wildlife in a natural and non-intrusive way. Your guide shares insights about bear behaviour, local ecosystems and the surrounding wilderness throughout the evening.
Each visit is unique, but sightings are frequent and often include multiple animals.
Included in the tour
Transportation from and back to Basecamp Oulanka, guidance and safety briefing, bear watching from a viewing hide, and the opportunity to observe other wildlife.
