The Little Bear Trail (Pieni Karhunkierros) is one of Finland’s most famous hiking routes, offering diverse landscapes, scenic viewpoints and iconic river crossings. On this guided hike, you experience the trail at a relaxed pace while learning about the nature, wildlife and history of Oulanka National Park.
In the morning, we pack our picnic lunch and head out directly from Basecamp into the wilderness.

What happens during the hike?
The trail takes us first to the scenic Myllykoski rapids, one of the highlights of the route. From there, we cross a suspension bridge and continue into the peaceful taiga forest.
Oulanka National Park is known for its unique microclimate, which supports a wide variety of rare plant species. Along the way, your guide shares insights and stories about the surrounding nature, wildlife and local history.
Midway through the hike, we stop for a picnic lunch in nature. The pace is relaxed, with plenty of time for photos and enjoying the scenery.
