Snowshoeing in Oulanka National Park

A great introduction to snowshoeing in the stunning scenery of Myllykoski.

You will learn the technique of snowshoeing and experience the delight and freedom of walking in the deep virgin snow between the snow laden trees. With snowshoes, you can get to places where you would not otherwise go in winter and experience the untouched nature around you. Your guide will explain the right techniques with lots of practical tips.

Oulanka National Park is known for its impressive landscapes and waterfalls. Our guide shares stories of the characteristics of the area’s flora and fauna. On the way, you will see the beautiful Myllykoski rapids with a hanging bridge above it. With good luck, we will see the White-throated Dipper diving into the open water in search of food or Siberian Jays flying in the trees. The snowshoe trip is also suitable for families with children.
